We are a bookstore owner (Claire Bone of Wild Sisters Books in Sacramento, CA) and an author (Sierra Godfrey) and we started this podcast to talk about reading, writing, and publishing–with a focus on romance and thrillers. You know, the books that get your heart racing.

Sierra Godfrey
SC Godfrey, also writing as Sierra Godfrey, is the author of THE ENIGMA CHALLENGE (2026 from Viking Penguin), A Very Typical Family, and The Second Chance Hotel. When not working on books, she can be found reading fast-paced, exciting thrillers, mysteries, and epic romance. She lives in the Bay Area with her family. Claire Bone
Wild Sisters Book Company opened in June of 2021 by sisters Claire Bone and Noelle Baganz in a cozy 900 sf storefront in Sacramento, CA. In 2023, Noelle ditched bookselling for the joys of elementary school counseling and grad school and Claire moved the shop to a 2300 sf space that has hosted dozens of amazing authors, artists and musicians since they reopened.
Claire is an avid re-reader of classics by Jane Austen, LM Montgomery, and those crazy Bronte sisters. Bookselling has pushed her to explore new works every day with magical realism and romances being two of her favorite genres.
